Builder-fitted hoods and the sizing question
When a flat comes with its chimney already installed, the hood was chosen by the builder on cost rather than by you on kitchen size. In practice that often means an entry-level unit, frequently 60 cm and at the lower end of the airflow range, fitted in a kitchen that would have suited something larger.
That is worth knowing before you pay for repairs. A hood that has never cleared smoke properly since the day you moved in is usually not broken — it is undersized or badly ducted. We measure the suction and tell you which it is, because replacing a motor on an undersized hood changes nothing.
The duct question in Nizampet
Nizampet flats vent into shared shafts, and because construction here was fast, the ducting behind the hood is sometimes the weakest part of the installation.

My chimney has never worked well since I moved in. Is it faulty?
Often it is not faulty at all. Builder-fitted hoods in Nizampet are usually entry-level models chosen on cost, and sometimes undersized for the kitchen they are in. We measure the suction and inspect the duct, then tell you honestly whether the problem is a fault, the ducting, or simply a hood too small for the room.
The pipe behind my hood looks loose. Does that matter?
Yes. In quickly built blocks the flexible duct is sometimes over-long and coiled, kinked at the turn, or taped at the joint in a way that later comes apart. Any of those costs real airflow. It is one of the cheapest things to put right and one of the first things we check.
