Siemens Chimney Service in Hyderabad
Repair, deep cleaning and installation for Siemens kitchen chimneys — the iQ300, iQ500 and iQ700 wall-mounted and inclined hoods with metal grease filters and iQdrive motors — at your home across Hyderabad and Secunderabad.
We are an independent appliance repair business servicing Siemens kitchen chimneys at home in Hyderabad. We handle grease filter and suction problems, deep cleaning, motor and control-board faults, lighting, duct work and new installation. We are not an authorised Siemens service centre, so if your hood is inside the two-year manufacturer’s warranty that Siemens India lists for its appliances, go to Siemens first — we will tell you so rather than quote you.

Metal grease filters, and no auto-clean
The Siemens hoods in the table below all use washable metal grease filters, aluminium or stainless steel, and none of them lists an auto-clean function. That is a different design from the filterless auto-clean hoods most Indian brands now sell: nothing melts the grease away for you. The filters catch it, and they have to be washed.
With daily tadka and deep frying, metal filters saturate quickly, and a saturated filter is the most common reason a Siemens hood feels weak. It costs nothing to fix. On iQ500 and iQ700 models the clean-filter reminder tells you when it is time; our guide on how often to clean a kitchen chimney covers the rest.
Common Siemens chimney problems
These are the Siemens complaints most worth knowing about. Several are features working as designed rather than faults, so it is worth checking this table before paying for a visit.
| Symptom | Most likely cause | What we do |
|---|---|---|
| Suction feels weak at normal speeds | Saturated metal grease filters; a duct narrower than the hood’s outlet, too long or with tight bends; a sticking non-return flap | Wash or replace the filters, then measure the duct and check the flap; shorten or re-route where needed |
| Hood drops from intensive to a lower speed by itself | The intensive setting is temporary and switches back automatically | Nothing to repair; we show you how the setting works |
| Fan keeps running after you switch off | Delay shut-off, a timed run-on after cooking, on iQ500 and iQ700 models | Nothing to repair; we show you how to cancel it |
| Clean-filter light stays on after washing | The reminder has to be reset from the control panel after cleaning | Reset it as the manual describes; if it will not clear, check the panel and board |
| Hums but the fan does not turn, or grinds | On models without iQdrive, often a failed capacitor or worn bearings; on iQdrive models, the motor or its electronic drive | Test the capacitor or drive electronics first, then the motor; order the matching part if needed |
| Touch controls dead or erratic | Grease or steam film on the panel, or moisture on the control board | Clean and dry the panel and board; replace the board if it has failed |
| Lights out or flickering | Failed LED module or a loose connector | Check the connector and supply, then replace the model-specific LED module |
| Oil drips from the hood | Filters saturated beyond what they can hold, or condensation running back from the duct | Wash or replace the filters, check the duct slope and the outside opening |
| climateControl or Home Connect not working (iQ700) | Sensor filmed with grease, or an app, Wi-Fi or firmware problem | Clean and check the sensor area; app and firmware problems go to Siemens service |
Time on site depends on the fault and on whether a part has to be ordered. We tell you before work starts.
Siemens chimney models we service

| LC68KPK60I | iQ700 inclined, black glass | 60 cm | 760 m³/hr | Washable aluminium, dishwasher-safe | iQdrive, Home Connect, adjustable LED lighting |
Siemens India also lists the inclined LC67KFN60 (iQ300), LC91KLT60 and LC91KLT65 (iQ700), the LI97SA531I telescopic built-in hood and the LR18HLT65 ceiling hood. Older Siemens hoods are serviced too: call with the number on the rating plate. For telescopic and ceiling hoods, send photos first so we can tell you what the job involves.
Siemens terms, and what they mean for a repair
Siemens uses series tiers and feature names rather than model names. These are the terms on Siemens India’s own listings and what each one means when something goes wrong.
| Term | What it means | Why it matters for a repair |
|---|---|---|
| iQ300 / iQ500 / iQ700 | Siemens’ product tiers, with iQ700 at the top of the range | Tells us which features, motor and boards to expect before we arrive |
| iQdrive | Siemens’ brushless motor, listed on the iQ500 and iQ700 hoods | It is driven electronically, so a fault can be in the drive electronics as well as the motor |
| Intensive setting | A temporary maximum speed that switches back to a lower speed automatically | A hood slowing down by itself after a few minutes is this feature, not a fault |
| Delay shut-off | The fan runs on for a while after cooking to clear remaining steam | A hood that keeps running after you switch off is working as designed |
| Clean filter reminder | Tells you when the metal grease filters are saturated | It has to be reset after washing; a reminder that will not reset points to the panel |
| climateControl sensor | Adjusts the fan speed to the cooking steam it detects, listed on the iQ700 LC91BUV50I | A sensor filmed with grease makes the hood react late or not at all |
| Home Connect | Siemens’ app for remote control and monitoring | App, Wi-Fi and firmware problems are handled by Siemens service, not by an independent technician |
| Convertible | Can be ducted to the outside or set up to recirculate | Recirculation pulls much less: Siemens lists the LC97BCP50I at 438 m³/hr ducted and 343 m³/hr recirculating |
| LC / LI / LR | On Siemens India’s listings: LC for chimney hoods, LI for the telescopic built-in hood, LR for the ceiling hood | Tells us the mounting type and which brackets and duct parts are involved |
| LC6… / LC9… | On the wall-mounted and inclined listings, the digit after LC matches the width: 6 for 60 cm, 9 for 90 cm | Decides which filters, canopy and brackets fit |
Where to find it: Siemens puts a rating plate inside the hood, usually visible once the metal grease filters are removed. It carries the full model number (E-Nr) and production code (FD), which Siemens service and parts suppliers both work from.
Siemens’ warranty, and when to use it
Siemens India states that all Siemens appliances come with a two-year manufacturer’s warranty. It also sells an extended warranty, which has to be bought within three months of the purchase date, and maintenance contracts after the warranty ends.
Siemens service in India is carried out by BSH authorised technicians. If your hood is inside its warranty or an extended warranty, book Siemens rather than us. We will say so on the phone. Using an independent technician on a live warranty is the one case where saving a visit charge can cost you a great deal more.
Cover can differ by model and by the dealer you bought from, so check your invoice and the Siemens warranty terms before assuming these apply to your hood.
What we handle instead
Everything outside that cover: deep cleaning, filter and suction problems, blocked or badly routed ducts, lamps, physical damage, installation and re-siting, and any hood past its warranty.
Cleaning is maintenance rather than a defect, so it is not covered by any brand’s warranty. If your hood is still under warranty, tell us when you book and we will explain what a cleaning visit involves.

How a Siemens service visit works
- You send the symptom. Call or send a short video of the hood running, plus a photo of the rating plate behind the grease filters if you can reach it.
- We check your warranty first. If the hood is inside its two-year warranty or an extended warranty, we tell you to book Siemens instead of us.
- On-site diagnosis. The technician checks the filters, the duct and flap, the controls and the motor, then shows you the fault before quoting.
- Repair or deep clean. Work is done at your home. Floors and the hob are covered, and old parts are handed to you.
- Test and hand over. Every speed, the intensive setting and the lights are checked with you, the work area is cleaned and you get a dated bill.

Siemens chimney questions
Should I use Siemens service or an independent technician?
If your hood is inside the two-year manufacturer’s warranty Siemens India lists, or an extended warranty you bought, use Siemens. Come to us for deep cleaning, filter and duct problems, lamps, physical damage, installation and anything past warranty.
Why is my Siemens chimney rated lower than Indian brands?
Siemens lists its hoods at about 416 to 760 m³/hr at the top normal speed and up to 965 m³/hr on the intensive setting, while many Indian-brand listings quote 1,200 m³/hr or more. Brands do not all measure airflow the same way, so the numbers are not directly comparable. A Siemens hood does depend on clean filters and a short duct of the right size, so if it feels weak, those are the first things to check.
Does a Siemens chimney have auto-clean?
None of the Siemens hoods in our model table lists an auto-clean function. They use washable metal grease filters, which catch the grease and have to be washed. Siemens describes the filters on some models, such as the LC68KPK60I, as dishwasher-safe; put them in a dishwasher only if your manual says so.
How often should I wash the grease filters?
When the clean-filter reminder comes on, on models that have one, and in any case every two to three weeks if you cook every day. Frying and tadka load the filters faster. Our guide on how often to clean a kitchen chimney explains the signs.
Why does my Siemens hood slow down on its own?
Usually because the intensive setting has switched back to a lower speed, which it is designed to do. On the iQ700 LC91BUV50I, the climateControl sensor also changes the speed to match the steam it detects. Neither is a fault.
My Siemens hood hums but will not spin. Is the motor gone?
Not always. On models without iQdrive, such as the iQ300 LC67BBK60I, a hum without spin often points to the capacitor or bearings. The iQ500 and iQ700 hoods use Siemens’ brushless iQdrive motor, which is driven electronically, so the electronics are tested along with the motor. More on this on our chimney motor repair page.
How high should a Siemens chimney be installed?
At the minimum distance given in your model’s installation manual. Siemens lists, for example, 650 mm above a gas hob and 550 mm above an electric hob for the LC97BCP50I, and 570 mm above a gas hob for the inclined LC68KPK60I. We follow the figure for your model rather than one standard height.
Do you fit genuine Siemens spare parts?
We use genuine parts where they are available to independent dealers, and compatible parts where Siemens supplies only through its own network. We tell you which one is going in, and whether it has to be ordered, before we fit it.
Which areas do you cover for Siemens service?
Hyderabad and Secunderabad, including Gachibowli, Kondapur, Madhapur, Kukatpally, Miyapur, Nizampet, Bachupally, Manikonda, Banjara Hills, Jubilee Hills, Mehdipatnam, Attapur, Uppal and LB Nagar. The full list is on the service areas page.
