Why does my cooking range oven light and then go out?
Usually the oven’s flame failure device or thermocouple is not sensing the flame, because it is dirty, out of position or faulty. It cuts the gas as a safety measure. Do not keep relighting it; book a check.
Why is my oven not getting hot enough?
Common causes are a faulty thermostat or temperature sensor, a worn door seal letting heat escape, or a partly blocked oven burner. On electric ovens, a failing heating element is another cause.
Can the cooktop and the oven be serviced in one visit?
Yes. A cooking range service covers the top burners and the oven together.
How should I clean my cooking range oven between services?
Let it cool fully, remove the racks to wash separately, and wipe the inside with warm soapy water or a paste of baking soda and water. Keep water and cleaner away from the burner, igniter and thermostat sensor, and do not use sharp scrapers on enamel.
