Chimney Service in KPHB Colony, Hyderabad
Kitchen chimney cleaning, deep cleaning, repair and installation at your home across the KPHB Colony phases, the JNTU side, Malaysian Township and the Nizampet Road end.
We service kitchen chimneys at home throughout KPHB Colony. KPHB is laid out in numbered phases rather than as one block, so the first thing we ask is which phase you are in. The colony stretches from the JNTU side across to the Nizampet Road end, and the housing changes noticeably along the way.

Where we go in KPHB Colony
KPHB is a planned colony of numbered phases, and a phase number tells us more about access than a street name does. These are the parts we are asked for most:
- Phase 1 to Phase 15
- JNTU side
- Malaysian Township
- Dharma Reddy Colony
- Vivekananda Nagar
- Kukatpally boundary
- Nizampet Road end
If your colony is not on this list but you are in or around KPHB Colony, call us anyway. The list names the places we are asked for most, not a boundary.
Phases tell us more than street names
KPHB was laid out as a housing board colony, which is why addresses here are given as phase numbers. For a service visit that is genuinely useful: the earlier phases are mostly independent houses on regular plots with kitchens at the rear, while the later phases and the Nizampet Road end have more apartment blocks.
Telling us the phase when you call lets us judge whether the duct is likely to be a short run through an external wall or a longer one into a shared shaft, and whether we need to plan around a lift or a society gate.
The duct question in KPHB Colony
Most KPHB kitchens vent straight out through a rear or side wall, which is the simplest duct arrangement there is. The usual fault is not the length of the duct but the non-return flap at the far end of it.
In an independent house on a regular KPHB plot the kitchen is usually at the back, and the duct takes the shortest path out through that wall. There is very little pipe for the hood to fight, so suction problems here are rarely about duct length.
What does go wrong is the flap on the outside. It is a light hinged plate meant to stop air and insects returning, and over years it coats with grease until it no longer swings freely. The hood then runs against a flap that barely opens. Freeing or replacing it is a small job that often restores the pull entirely, and it is one of the first things we check.
In the apartment blocks at the colony edges the duct turns up into a shaft instead, and there the first stretch of pipe and the shaft both need checking before anyone talks about a new motor.

How a visit to KPHB Colony works
- You send the symptom. Call or send a short video of the chimney running. Sound and smoke tell us more than a description, and it lets us carry the right spare on the first visit.
- We tell you what it is likely to be. You get a probable cause and a price range before anyone travels, along with the visit charge. Tell us your colony and floor so we plan access.
- On-site diagnosis. The technician opens the hood, checks suction at the canopy, inspects the duct and non-return flap, then shows you the fault before quoting the final figure.
- Repair or deep clean. Work is done in your kitchen. Floors and the hob are covered, oil-soaked parts are degreased in a tray, and old parts are handed to you.
- Test and hand over. We run every speed, check noise and suction with the kitchen door shut, clean the work area and give you a dated bill.
Charges are covered on the service charges page, and the other areas we cover are listed under service areas.
KPHB Colony chimney service questions
Which phase do you cover?
All of them, Phase 1 through Phase 15, plus the JNTU side, Malaysian Township and the stretch towards Nizampet Road. Tell us your phase number when you call — it tells us more about likely duct routing and access than the street name does.
My kitchen is at the back of an independent house. Is the duct a problem?
Usually the opposite. A rear-wall kitchen gives the shortest possible duct run, which is the best arrangement for suction. If such a hood pulls badly, the cause is normally a greased-up non-return flap outside or a choked oil channel inside, not the duct.
Do you service chimneys in the newer apartment blocks here?
Yes. For a flat, tell us the floor and whether the duct goes into a shaft. If shaft or terrace access is needed that usually requires society permission, and knowing beforehand means your slot is not spent waiting for someone to unlock a door.
Can you come the same day in KPHB?
Ask when you call; it depends on that day’s bookings. KPHB is a direct run west from our Begumpet base along the Red Line corridor. We book morning or afternoon slots rather than promise an exact time, because a job before yours can overrun, and we ring before setting out.
Do you charge extra to come to KPHB Colony?
No. KPHB Colony is inside the area we cover from our Begumpet base, and travel is included in the visit charge. You are told that charge on the phone before anyone sets out, and it is adjusted into the bill if you go ahead with the repair.
Which brands do you repair in KPHB Colony?
All seventeen brands listed above, including Faber, Elica, Glen, Hindware, Kutchina, KAFF, Bosch and Havells. Each has its own page explaining that brand’s common faults, model range and warranty terms. Tell us the model number on the sticker inside your hood and we will know what to bring.
